A PNW-based freeride mountain bike camp for kids, set on the private trails of The Lookout in Sedro-Woolley, offering a unique experience for young riders. All in a controlled, private setting designed to help kids progress safely and to just have lots of fun.

Camp Includes:
All funds, outside of camp expenses, will be going towards hosting our annual event "Woolley Fest". So thank you for your consideration and we cant wait to meet and ride with you all!

Program Info//Structure
Each Session will be two days (Day Only) from Saturday to Sunday.

Age recommendation 13 - 17 (Intermediate riders)

Location: 24335 Old Day Creek Rd, Sedro Woolley WA, 98284

Daily hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Camper capacity: 20 kids per session
-
Staffing ratio: 1 adult per 4–5 campers and 1 adult driving the shuttle car.

What a day will look like
-
9 am to 9:30 am - Checkin and Bike Check
-
10 am to 11am - Warm up shuttles and Riding
-
11 am to 12 am - Trail Maintenance Education
-
12 pm to 12:30 pm - Lunch
-
12:30 pm to 2 pm - Break off into group for coaching
-
2 pm - 3 pm - Last laps and Breakdown

What to Bring & Prepare For
Participants must:
-
Bring a mountain bike with functional front and rear brakes. Please make sure bikes are checked out by a qualified bike mechanic at one of our great bike shops in town. Have them check the brakes, drivetrain, tires, headset, shocks (if applicable) and overall condition of the bike. (We will also conduct a brief overview of bikes as a back up, but we expect campers to have a functioning bikes prior to showing up for camp.)

Hydration pack and/or portable water bottle

Snacks and big lunch (We will provide addtional snacks but not a lunch)

Bike tire tube or tubes for correct wheel size

Appropriate atier for weather and riding (Hoody or rain jacket incase of weather change)

Shorts or close fitting pants (Please look at weather to best determine for riding)
Weather can cancel the day; please understand the safety of our participants is our first priority and we will cancel/reschedule if the conditions are deemed unsafe.
Recommended skills/skill level prior to camp (Intermediate)

Has been mountain biking somewhat consistently for over a year and feels comfortable on most green and blue trails

Controlled braking at faster speeds
-
Can shift effectively by anticipating terrain
-
Comfortable getting over small rolls/drops (1 foot - 4 feet)
-
Comfortable riding over jumps and getting small amounts of air (1 foot - 4 feet)
-
Comfortable on wide switchbacks that are not too steep
-
Can ride standing, balanced, with level pedals and understand to lower seat for descending
-
Confident riding trails such as Mullet, Blue ribbon, U-Line (These are local Galby Trails)
